Sky-bound ambitions from a small Baltic country
Aleksandr (Alex) Celiadin, born and raised in Vilnius, Lithuania, developed a passion for aviation at a very young age through his father, a seasoned aviation engineer. Beginning his career as a Sales Executive at Lithuania's first privately-owned airline while still pursuing his MBA, Alex quickly immersed himself in the industry. In 2013 Alex co-founded GrandCruAirlines with former colleagues. This venture laid the groundwork for his own venture, GetJet, followed by Airhub Aviation, Airhub Training, and others.
Today, Alex Celiadin is known for running some of the most profitable aviation projects worldwide. With over $100 million in net earnings generated, his company stands out as the most profitable ACMI airline in Northern and Eastern Europe.

1987
Alex Celiadin was born and raised in a middle-class family in Vilnius, Lithuania. His propensity for aviation began with his father, a seasoned aviation engineer, who showed him the ropes and opened the way to the industry.
2012
Following his father's passing in 2010, and as Aurela Airlines faced challenges due to the global financial crisis, Alex and former Aurela colleagues took on a failing business. After successfully navigating through initial turbulence, they co-founded Grand Cru Airlines in 2013. This business venture offered valuable lessons and paved the way for his own venture – GetJet Airlines.
2016
Alex became a fully licensed FAA Commercial Pilot to better understand the work of his pilots and crew.
2020
The strong foundation helped the company navigate the challenges of the COVID-19 era. The pandemic profoundly disrupted the aviation industry, but GetJet Airlines adapted by modifying aircraft to support logistics and supply chains. Planes that typically carry 300 passengers were repurposed to transport protective masks and respirators during the pandemic times. GetJet Airlines transported the first COVID-19 vaccines to Lithuania. In 2020, GetJet was named the leader of Lithuania’s transport and logistics sector at the Verslo Zinios awards.
2024
Today, GetJet Airlines has grown to a team of 900 aviation professionals and operates with three non-scheduled airline certificates in Lithuania, Latvia, and Malta. With asset management firms in Cyprus and Dubai, the company oversees a fleet of 16 aircraft, resulting in an EBITDA of $28 million. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company successfully bounced back to pre-crisis levels. Currently, GetJet Airlines operates flights to and from 170 airports across more than 50 countries within the EU, Africa, and Asia. Company has garnered the trust of numerous partners, including Finnair, Transavia, Wizz Air, Norwegian, Icelandair, TUI Airways, Vueling, Swoop, and several others.

Alex was quick off the mark, taking up his first professional role as a Sales Executive at Aurela Airlines while still only halfway through his MBA degree. His early career at Aurela Airlines, Lithuania's first privately-owned airline, laid the groundwork for his future endeavors. This pivotal role sparked his 20+ year journey in the aviation industry.

2014
Alex established the company in 2014, and GetJet Airlines soon received its Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) in 2016. The company has since managed to maintain an upward trajectory by adhering closely to the principles of client and market diversity, diligent risk management, and a deep understanding of managing aircraft assets. Within the next three years, the company grew its fleet to 25 aircraft, achieving an EBITDA of $25 million.

2017
Airhub Flight School was launched, now known as Airhub Aviation Training – an approved organization providing full cabin crew and pilot training.

2022
GetJet Airlines achieved a significant milestone by operating its first commercial flight to Australia, marking a historic achievement for Lithuanian airlines. In 2022, it also obtained an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in Latvia.
